Curiosity Killed the Cat

Well...almost. A couple weeks ago our poor little kitty came home to us with a bloody foot. His toe had been chopped off (it was a clean cut straight through the bone), but we aren't entirely sure what happened. Apparently there is a gentleman in our neighborhood who has set up traps for cats in order to keep them out of his yard, so we are slightly suspicious of him. It has healed pretty nicely since then, but it was definitely a traumatic experience.

Brendon's Recent Investment

So those of you who know Brendon very well won't be surprised at all with his new "side business" --chameleon breeding. We now have eleven baby chameleons. When I married Brendon I always knew we would have a zoo...I just didn't expect it to happen so soon!

Finally...

We FINALLY got our washing machine fixed this week. It conveniently stopped working a couple weeks ago while my dad was trying to wash some of his clothes the night before he flew back to Switzerland. To make a long story short, we had a repair man tell us that we needed to replace the mother board. After two weeks of dealing with their incompetence and dishonesty, I decided to call another company and they fixed it right away. It turns out that there was a nursing pad blocking the pump. I was a tad upset that the other company wanted to go to such extremes as to replace the mother board for a blocked pump. Anyway...I'm just glad that I was finally able to do some laundry.

Opa

Last week my dad came to visit us while he was in the states for a business. It was kind of fun to have him here and I think that he really enjoyed spending time with his first grandson. Hopefully my mom will be able to make it out to see him sometime.

Roots

Brendon was out the other day pulling weeds and he came across the most bazaar plant. You wouldn't think that a plant of it's size would have --or need for that matter-- such a long root.
